Education
Italian luthiery is appreciated worldwide: stringed instruments have always been considered the best, and today, classical guitars also hold a position of absolute relevance in the global market.

Craftsmanship, however, does not seem to be a profession considered once studies are completed. It’s important to note that since the 1500s, Italy has boasted illustrious figures in every artistic field, blending art and craftsmanship. Building a musical instrument can truly be considered an art form in its own right.

This project was created to bring the craft of luthiery into schools, from middle to high schools of all types, as well as conservatories.

Journey into the Classical Guitar
This project offers students an immersive experience in the world of luthiery, exploring the complex process of building a classical guitar.

Through a detailed documentary and a live meeting with a master luthier, participants will discover the various skills required to create a unique musical instrument, from acoustic physics to botany, from the history of musical instruments to the chemistry of materials.

This proposal not only enriches the school curriculum but also seeks to spark interest and inspire students to appreciate and perhaps explore a career in the crafts. It’s a unique opportunity to get close to an ancient craft and understand its cultural and artistic significance.
