Presentation of the Book Le chitarre del Pedrollo
From April 10th to 12th, 2025, an important event was held to showcase the collection of guitars acquired over the years by Maestro Stefano Grondona during his teaching at the Arrigo Pedrollo Conservatory in Vicenza. The collection includes both modern and historical guitars by renowned makers.
To accompany this remarkable collection, a book titled Le chitarre del Pedrollo was published. I contributed as co-author, specifically for the section dedicated to the documentation and measurement of all the guitars on display.
The event also featured a masterclass by Carles Trepat, the presentation of the last Torres guitar (1892) by Alex Timmerman, and several conferences.

Documentary
Screening
On Saturday, April 5th, at the Cantina Sociale Terre dei Santi in Castelnuovo Don Bosco (AT), the third screening of the documentary "Journey into the Classical Guitar" took place.

The event opened with an opportunity for classical guitarists to try out the instruments handcrafted by Liuteria Marchese.

This was followed by the screening of the documentary and a convivial reception among the wine barrels.

Roma Expo Guitar Show 2025
From March 21st to 23rd, Liuteria Marchese participated in the Roma Guitar Expo, an event that brought together over 30 luthiers from all over Italy to celebrate the art of the classical guitar.

A special opportunity to showcase our work, meet enthusiasts and industry professionals, and share our passion for lutherie. Three days filled with sounds, fine woods, and valuable exchanges with those who love and live music.

Review
"One of the finest guitars showcased at the Roma Expo 2025—and soon available in Indonesia—is that of luthier Antonio Marchese (Piedmont, Italy).
Specializing in traditional guitar making, his instruments have a truly unique sound: crisp yet deep, with a body resonance reaching F.
While his construction blends elements from Francisco Simplicio and Enrique Garcia (two legendary Barcelona luthiers), his guitars stand out for their great power and exceptionally fast response, characteristic of modern instruments.
His craftsmanship is clean and flawless, much like that of his mentor, the renowned Italian luthier Enrico Bottelli."
Translated from Indonesian - Ivan Winata, CEO of Ivan Guitar Studio, published in the "Indonesian Fingerstyle Guitar Community" Facebook Group on March 25, 2025.

Documentary Screening
After the success of its first screening in the heart of Monferrato, in Piovà Massaia (AT), near Liuteria Marchese—the main subject of the documentary—Journey into the Classical Guitar arrived in Turin.
On Friday, March 7th, the Oratory of the San Filippo Complex (Via Maria Vittoria 5) hosted a new screening in collaboration with the Accademia di Liuteria Piemontese.
The event took place in the prestigious auditorium of the Oratory of San Filippo, an architectural gem recently restored.

Review
A work of art is not just meant to be observed—it is born from patience and dedication. This is the essence of Journey into the Classical Guitar, a documentary that celebrates the art of lutherie, a tradition in which Italy has long been a center of excellence.
Located within the monumental complex of San Filippo Neri, the Accademia di Liuteria Piemontese is a key institution for training new luthiers, offering courses in the construction of both bowed and plucked string instruments. In this setting, the audience had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the story of the creation of one of the most iconic instruments in music: the classical guitar.
